Most people aren’t aware that American Express isn’t just credit cards, but has a full-service banking arm as well.  The electronic banking services of that are the Amex online banking or American Express Online Banking.  If your’e an Amex credit card customer, you might already be aware of their online services and the same ones transfer to banking as well.

In fact, if you’re both an Amex card holder and an American Express banking online customer, all of your accounts appear in one user interface.  That’s very convenient–especially if you prefer to pay your credit cards using transfers from your checking, saving writing a check and sending it in the mail.

On top of this, and the usual services online banks offer like balance inquiries and cleared check viewing, the Amex banking online site also allows you to go completely paperless so you don’t receive bills in the mail any longer.  This save postage, paper (trees), and is a good way to thwart identity thieves.
