Today, we here at Peak Personal Finance are going to have a new look at the latest in Citibank CD rates to bring you up-to-date with what’s changed since our last look.
All Citibank certificate of deposit rates require a $500 minimum deposit to open and maintain and terms begin at 3 months and can be locked in all the way to 5 years. Rates are listed as annual percentage yields (APY).
Current CD rates at Citi for a 3 and a 4 month term are 0.25% APY. A 5 month term gives 0.30% APY and 6 month Citi CD rates are 0.35% APY. For 7 months, the same 0.35% APY is offered and for 8, 9, or 10 months, rates are 0.50% APY.
Looking at more Citibank CD rates, we see that a 12 month term gives 0.80% APY CD rates, an 18 month term gives 1.01% APY as does a 2 year term. A 30 month term yields 1.15% APY and a 3 year term is 1.50% APY.
Longer-term offers in Citi CD rates are 4 year terms at 2.00% APY and 5 year terms at 2.50% APY.
An Option CD with a rate of 0.50% APY and a term of 12 months allows you to withdraw from the account once during its lifetime without a penalty or fee.
Of course, all Citibank certificate of deposit rates and accounts are fully FDIC insured. FDIC insurance is up to $250,000 per depositor to 2013, when it reverts to $100,000. These rates can change at any time, so if any of these Citibank CD rates appeal to you, lock yours in today.
