So long as we’re looking at what kind of online banking services various banks are offering, we here at Peak Personal Finance have to show you Citibank Online banking. It is, after all, considered by many to be the starting point for online banking that many other banks look towards as their goal.
Not surprising, given some of the innovative (and now standard) technologies that Citi Online banking has rolled out in the past, like bill pay, online check images, and more.
While in the world of finance, Citibank is one of the largest names around, in the world of online banking, Citibank Banking online is one of the leaders as well.
Not only can you check account balances, open an account online, view check images, and even participate in rewards-based checking, but Citibank also allows you to use online bill pay.
What if your creditor doesn’t accept electronic transfers? No problem, Citi Online banking will cut a check and mail it for you. How great is that? To my knowledge, Citibank Online banking is the only bank offering this service.
The website itself is attractive, though a little crowded to look at until you’ve logged in. Once inside. the interface cleans up considerably and points you to your most-used services. Some services are harder to find, but the things you’ll use most often are right there in front of you.
All of your accounts are listed in sequence, along with balances and so forth. At a glance, this information will often be all that you really needed out of your visit. Clicking on any account brings up more detailed information, including recent transaction history. Full histories on any account can be viewed if you wish as well.
All accounts at Citibank are FDIC insured and for online banking, it’s hard to beat Citibank Banking online. Check it out.
