Although Wachovia was recently acquired by Wells Fargo, Wachovia is still doing business under the name Wachovia and offers different financial products than it’s parent company. Peak Personal Finance recently reviewed Wachovia mortgage rates and found some items of interest. Case in point: Wachovia Bank Mortgage Rates are now the best in the nation among national lenders.
Specifically, we are talking about the Wachovia Bank 30 Year Fixed Mortgage. This Wachovia 30 year mortgage is at an interest rate of 4.750 percent, which equates to an Annual Percentage Ratge (APR) of 4.898 percent.
Also appealing is the Wachovia Bank 15 Year Fixed Mortgage. This 15 year Wachovia mortage accrues interest at the rate of 4.500 percent, yielding an APR of 4.754 percent.
Both of these great fixed mortgage rates at Wachova Bank are available on loans up to $417,000 — loans above that amount are considered “jumbo mortgages” and accrue interest at higher rates. Wachovia Bank also has some pretty low rates on Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARMs), but given the risk inherent with ARMs, they do not seem low enough to us to be worth the risk versus these low fixed rate mortgages.
If you are looking for a 15 or 30 year fixed rate mortgage, you should definitely take a closer look at Wachovia mortgage rates. Be sure to check the Wachovia Bank online banking web site, as mortgage rates can change quickly and sometimes vary depending upon the location of the property being financed.

Interesting and well informed article.
That is a great 30 year fixed mortage rate.
