If you have plans on going to Israel and decide to get a rent a car service, try Avis - . I have heard nothing but good things about them. Mainly, they came highly recommended by individuals I trust, and who have exceptional travel experience.

Almost every card does offer this service, but their coverage levels do vary. Beyond that, you are usually covered by your personal auto insurance many times as well.

Great info! Thanks for posting. I only rent every once in a while, but I've typically got the coverage so I didn't have to use my auto insurance in the case of an accident. I'll have to check my credit card to see if it has this feature.

Thanks!

i used to work for a major rental car company. your credit card "insurance" is secondary. also why would you want to use your own policy on a car that you do not own?? suck it up and at least just pay for the damage waiver only, usually no need for the injury or supp liability. my $.02
